was raised on a family farm in South Africa as one of five children. From a young age, graphite pencil and paper were her constant companions. With the encouragement from her parents and teachers, her talent blossomed.

In the late 90s she married a backpacking New Zealander who was visiting South Africa on a working holiday. He has been her greatest advocate, encouraging her time and again to step out of her comfort zone and explore new artistic horizons. Together with their three sons, they have travelled and lived in Africa, the Middle East, Australia and currently, New Zealand.

Of all the artistic education she has taken over the years, the training she received from Alanna Deall and Milan Art Institute has made a significant influence on her artistic style. Louise appreciates how art has the ability to communicate across cultural, language and generational barriers. Creating from the inspiration of her past experiences, dreams and spiritual encounters, her art invites you into a journey of deeper divine connection and personal discovery.

The majority of her artwork is created at her private studio, a haven of tranquillity, sheltered by magnificent oak trees and a daily view to New Zealand's captivating sunsets. Louise also volunteers her time providing art experiences for refugees as they work through the challenges of settling into New Zealand.
